The Basics Program is designed to introduce new students to the fundamental positions, techniques, and concepts of Jiu-Jitsu. The Curriculum of the Program focuses on simplifying the martial art in a way that benefits beginners and helps them build a solid foundation for their Jiu-Jitsu journey. When we talk about the basics of Jiu-Jitsu, we refer to the essential elements that support the entire practice of the art:
Core positions of control (such as mount, guard, side control, and back control); Defensive and transitional movements (shrimping, bridging, guard recovery, basic takedowns); Fundamental attacks and submissions (arm lock, basic chokes, sweeps); Principles of posture, balance, and weight management.
The class setting is structured to be welcoming and inviting, creating a positive learning environment for all new practitioners, where the priority is understanding the fundamentals before advancing to more complex stages.
